Reasons To Adopt A Healthier Lifestyle (Plus An Easy Summer Salad Recipe)

Many blogs and companies are always preaching the ways in which you can live a healthy, more fulfilling life, including us. While we can tell you all of these things, at the end of the day it is up to you to choose to lead that lifestyle.

If you are teetering on the idea of whether you want to take the steps to change for the better, consider reading this article to help you understand why it will be exceedingly worth it to do so.

Improved Physical Health

One thing many people forget is that health is extremely circumstantial and individualized.

Generally speaking, a diet consisting of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and lean protein, is always going to be considered healthy on a variety of platforms. But how to balance those food groups and what needs to be added or removed is highly dependent on your own personal health.

Harpers Bazaar wrote an article in 2015 that can be used as a tool to help you understand what diet is best for you, and it is definitely worth a read if you are unsure. Use these tools along with discussions with your doctor to make an educated decision.

In addition to that, following the proper exercise routine can work along with your personalized diet to assist in improvement of physical health. Huffington Post has an article that can help you figure out your ideal routine.

Once that is done, obvious improvements of your physical health may be loss of weight, skin improvement, raised energy levels, and better digestion.

According to Steven R. Gundry M.D., the key to a healthy, long lasting life is that of proper digestion and balanced gut health. His New York Times bestselling book, The Longevity Paradox: How to Die Young at a Ripe Old Age is a detailed plan and reflection of that outlook.

With most ideas in the health world, there are praises and critiques for detailed plans like his, so it is best to conduct your own research. However, plans aside, there is no denying that gut health is one extremely important benefit from a balanced and healthy diet.

In addition to that, a specific diet catered to you as an individual will help with any diseases or ailments that you may have or any diseases that run within your family. A diet for someone who is a diabetic may be different to a diet of someone who may be trying to be completely high carb.

A diet specific to your health needs and desires will definitely help you reach your physical health goals, short term and long term.

Improved Mental Health

When people think about healthier lifestyles, they often only think about diets and exercising, but that is just one half of the whole picture.

Mental health is easily one of the most important things in an individual’s life, if not the most important thing. If you are not healthy up there, how can you dedicate yourself toward any other responsibilities, including physical health?

That is one reason Naturalvert is so outspoken about following your dreams, passions, ideas, and truthfully, your own happiness.

Clearing negativity from your life, whether that be a person, a thing, a job, a town, or anything else, is one way to help with your mental health.

Talking about how you feel is important as well, do not be afraid to share and look for people who will support you and your feelings. There is no shame in seeing a professional either.

In addition to that, there have been numerous studies and reports from doctors and highly regarded medical facilities that have found links between food and mental health.

This is what makes physical health and mental health two halves that come together and complete each other.

Harvard Health released an article detailing this connection. 95 percent of the serotonin within your brain is produced within your gastrointestinal tract. This is the case because your tract is lined with copious nerve cells that cannot only change and effect how you digest, but also how you feel.

The task and performance ability of serotonin, and other nerve cells or neurotransmitters, is completely reliant on the good bacteria within your stomach. These bacteria help prevent inflammation, absorb nutrients, and initiate pathways that link the stomach and brain together.

Actively embracing your mental health, eating foods to fuel your body, and exercising will improve your lifestyle in ways that are unimaginable.

All of the steps come together in order to complete the entire picture, and making little efforts everyday will be enough to improve daily life.

Finding the right diet and focusing on improving your mental health will always be things that you will never regret.
