Crusted Tuna Steak
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 cup passion fruit mango granola
- 3 (10-ounce) tuna steaks, cut 1/2 inch thick
- 1/4 cup of olive oil,
- Cilantro (garnish)
- Green onions (garnish)
Ginger Sauce
· 2 oz. soy sauce (low sodium)
· ½ teaspoon ginger (fresh)
· 1 tablespoon honey
· 1 tablespoon sesame oil
· 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
Directions
- In a bowl, combine smoked paprika, ground black pepper, kosher salt, granola Lightly brush the tuna with oil and sprinkle the sesame mixture all over it, pressing to help the crust adhere.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a nonstick skillet until the oil is almost smoking. Add the crusted tuna steaks and cook them over moderately high heat until they are slightly pink in the center, about 4 minutes per side. Transfer the crusted tuna steaks to plate and let rest for 5 minutes.
- In small bowl, combine soy sauce, ginger, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar and whisk together.
- Now, slice tuna steak into ¼ inch slices, drizzle sauce and garnish on top and enjoy.
