Banana Split with Banana Cinnamon Granola Topping

Ingredients

Chocolate spread

  • 1/4 cup sunflower butter nut butter (preference)
  • 4 tbsp. Date syrup
  • 3 tbsp. cocoa powder unsweetened
  • 4 tbsp. water or plant based milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch of sea salt

Instructions

 Add all ingredients to a medium-sized bowl and stir with a whisk until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.

  • Taste it and add more date syrup if you want it sweeter! Add more nut butter and cocoa powder for a thicker cream or more water for a thinner chocolate spread. 

For banana split

  • 1 large Banana, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 4 small scoops vegan ice cream (I used 4 scoops)
  • Chocolate date sauce (recipe above)
  • Cherries
  • Banana cinnamon granola (for toppings)

Instructions

  1. Prep all of your desired toppings in advance.
  2. Place the sliced banana in a large oblong bowl (or simply any old bowl will do!).
  3. Add a couple scoops of ice cream and a dollop of coconut whipped cream.
  4. Add the rest of your desired toppings and enjoy immediately!
